Richard Newsome

Richard brings to his consulting strong credentials in both business and journalism.

He has worked in the media since 1982, initially reporting for newspapers, radio and television news before moving into executive roles.

He holds a first class honours degree in economics from the University of Queensland and was a consultant with international strategy firm Bain & Company, working with clients from Bain’s offices in Boston and Sydney.

He has overseen the successful launch of a number of specialist newspapers in Australia and New Zealand and was chief executive of APN News & Media’s online division.

Richard was Communications Director for an ASX100 company in Sydney, overseeing all aspects of corporate affairs, government liaison and investor relations for its operations across Australia and New Zealand. He has consulted to many local and global brands.
