Kathryn is a senior communications professional with more than 25 years’ experience in media relations, corporate communication, public relations, media training and journalism.

Her strong professional services, SME and not-for-profit background enables her to help make clients thought leaders in their chosen industries.

She created Cicero Communications with Richard Newsome in 2005 and has worked with CEOs and leaders in a range of industries, with a special focus on B2B, professional services and financial services.

Before founding Cicero, Kathryn had her own communications consultancy in Sydney working with professional services, executive search, management consultancy, technology and entrepreneurial firms.

Prior to this she was a corporate communications manager for global professional services firm Deloitte in Sydney, helping grow the profiles of key service lines including audit, corporate advisory and interim management.

Kathryn is past president of the Queensland board of the International Association of Business Communicators and has served on IABC’s Asia-Pacific judging panel for the IABC Gold Quill Awards, a widely recognised mark of international best practice in the communications profession.

She is on the board of Blue HOPE, a national not-for-profit assisting current and former Australian police and their families with suicide prevention, PTSD and mental health issues.
